--- MY PRICE AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - BEFORE THE WEDDING ---
|
TRAVELLING COSTS AND BOOKING:
Travelling costs are included for Gauteng. I may ask a travelling fee for weddings/functions in some areas such as North-West, the
northern Free State and Mpumalanga. The travelling fee will be discussed and agreed upon, depending on where your function is to be held. The travelling
fee must be paid together with the booking fee of R1 000 in order to secure your booking. I provide my bank details on request to clients who wish
to book me. Please save these details, as I only accept payment into my account. This way you and I have proof of all payments and of course
its great for compiling tax returns!
HOW DO WE SECURE YOUR SERVICES?
Contact me
or phone me at (082) 650 0293 to confirm if I am available for your wedding or function. If I am available, a non-refundable booking fee of
R1 000 is required to secure your booking. This is on a first-come, first-served basis, as I reserve dates long in advance. The retainer
will be deducted from your quoted package price. I will provide my banking details to you personally by email. No booking will be secured unless the
booking fee has been received. The full outstanding balance must be paid at the latest 7 days before the function commences. All payments
are to be paid into my bank account. This way you and I have a way of proving which payments have been made.
HOW WILL YOU BE DRESSED ON OUR WEDDING DAY?
I always dress neatly in accordance with the occasion.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIME RESTRICTIONS?
Morning weddings - until 18:00.
Afternoon weddings - until 00:00.
After 18:00 for morning functions or 00:00 for afternoon functions a R500 an hour fee is payable in cash within 15 minutes. Please keep in mind that
some venues do not allow the DJ to play music later than 00:00. You thus have to make arrangements with the venue beforehand!
IN WHICH AREAS DO YOU MOSTLY OPERATE?
Gauteng, North-West, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and the Free State, but I am willing to play at other venues if my costs are met.
CAN WE MEET YOU BEFORE THE WEDDING?
Absolutely! I encourage this to discuss the details of the wedding/function with you. This way I can learn what you like, dislike, favour, etc.
I am residing in Pretoria and will provide my address to you, should you wish to make an appointment.
CAN YOU PROVIDE SOUND AND MUSIC AT THE CHAPEL/CHURCH AS WELL?
Yes, it is included in my package, as long as the chapel/church is located at the same venue as the reception/function. I will also play your song
of choice on entering the chapel, venue, etc. I don't provide Hymns and Psalms on CD, but you can provide this to me, should you wish to use it.
DO YOU PROVIDE A MICROPHONE?
Yes, I have a wireless microphone which is available for the marriage officer, master of ceremonies, groom, etc. A backup microphone is also always
available.
DO YOU ALLOW INSTRUMENTS/BANDS TO PLAY OVER YOUR SPEAKERS?
Unfortunately not. Equipment such as cables, amplifiers etc may differ and cause damage to my equipment.
DO YOU PLAY REQUESTS FROM GUESTS DURING THE EVENING?
Yes, if you as the client do not mind and it fits in with the atmosphere. Your choice of songs, for example your entrance song, opening of the
dance floor, etc are also played, as discussed with me before the time.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY DURING THE RECEPTION?
I play relaxed, easy-to-listen-to background music so that I do not disturb your guests who are enjoying one another's company.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PLAY AFTER THE DANCE FLOOR HAS BEEN OPENED?
I tend to play popular dance music, the kind that works on most functions, but it is imortant for me to "read" the crowd and play what you and
they enjoy! In other words, I judge the audience and choose the music accordingly.
DO YOU BELONG TO SAMRO (SOUTH AFRICAN MUSIC RIGHT ORGANIZATION)
Yes, I do.
SAMRO stands for South African Music Right Organization. Most people don't know this but every DJ must have a valid SAMRO license to
publicly play music at any function in South Africa. Therefore, if a SAMRO official shows up at your venue to do random checks no problems will
be encoutered. I am also a registered member of SAMPRA.
This means that I play music legally as required by law.

--- ON THE WEDDING DAY ---
|
WE WANT OUR GUESTS TO ENJOY THE DANCE FLOOR. WHAT CAN INFLUENCE THE DANCE?
Throw the garter and bouquet first, then cut the cake and open the dance floor. In doing so, everything need not be interrupted for each of the
forementioned. The size of the dance floor and the layout of the venue also have an influence on the willingness of guests to dance.
WHERE DO WE NEED TO SEAT YOU?
I need to be seated at my equipment. Please serve my meal here!
MAY WE PROVIDE YOU WITH A LONG LIST OF MUSIC WE LIKE?
Yes, you may, but sometimes, it may cause people not to dance. I suggest that I play your choice of music and deviate from this should it be necessary
to lure guests to the dance floor.
WHEN DO YOU ARRIVE AT THE VENUE?
This depends on your kind of function, I am usually at the venue 3-4 hours before a wedding starts, in order to have plenty of time to set up
and test the sound system to my satisfaction.
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?
and I will gladly assist you!
